SmartLynx Australia was founded as Skytrans back in 1990 and has been serving Queensland ever since. Our airline is expanding after being acquired in 2024 by Avia Solutions Group ― the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider.

We currently operate a fleet of 13 aircraft, specialising in Regular Public Transport (RPT), ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) and charter operations across the Asia-Pacific region.
SmartLynx Australia is the first ACMI-focussed and independent provider in Australia and is now part of the Avia Solutions Group family with a new AOC (Air Operator Certificate) and a global fleet of 187 aircraft.
Avia Solutions Group also provides a range of aviation services on 6 continents. Through 14,000 staff we deliver MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), pilot and crew training, ground handling, and other pivotal aviation services.
The SmartLynx Australia team continues to grow as we add ACMI and private business charter solutions to scheduled passenger services.
